I sold my old phone for $250 cash on Craigslist in about 12 hours. I decided to go to the AT&T store since I have an AT&T service discount thru UM and the Apple store folks advised me to go to AT&T.

CJ was with me for the first iPhone so he wanted to go again. I got up 5 and got a tweet from Andrew Sardone (in line in the yellow shirt) that he was in line already and 4th in line. I got CJ up and we got there around 6 am. The wait was not bad at all and we met Michael @ BikerBar, another guy I twitter with and John Weise waited in line behind us. By the time, we got into the store they still had white phones left, which is what I wanted, but activations were going slower and slower. They let us take mine home and I activated at work finally in the afternoon.

We got in early and got first dibs on the food, which was pretty good. Annalee and Christie got henna tattoos and CJ and I watched a martial arts troupe. The kids made hats and other crafts.

Last Wednesday it was a warm night and I said to Christie as I was racing to get ready for my Motorcycle Service Technician class at WCC, I sure wish I had out my battery in my bike. She replied, “Well how long would it take? Can you do it now?” With that inspiration, I ran down to the basement, got the charged battery and popped it into the bike. After a few presses of the ignition switch, the bike started up! Yay! I rode it to class and had no problems, though I was nervous about every puddle.

The folks in my class liked my “purple” bike and I talked to JW about him helping me to do the five mile maintenance. Hopefully we can do it this coming Friday or the next Friday. I just need to decide if I want to switch to synthetic and then get the supplies. I am really looking forward to that, except for loading the bike on the lift. I need to start lifting weights.

Anyway, I took Friday off and cleaned the bike very thoroughly and installed the windshield that Christie and her mom got me for my birthday. It works great! Then I took the bike for a short ride and had to rewash it to get the mud off. The bike needs a wax job -- I did notice some rust on the wheels that I was able to scrub off -- next year I will need to dry the bike more thoroughly before storage.

Contact the Michigan Decocratic Party about their delegation

Mark Brewer and the Michigan Democratic Party has come up with delegates, allocating them to Hillary Clinton and uncommitted based on the ridiculous election held in January where the only top-tier candidate on the ballot was Hillary Clinton.

http://michigandems.com/020808prs.html

If you disagree with this plan, please contact the MDP by phone (517-371-5410), letter (606 Townsend St., Lansing, MI 48933) or email (http://www.democracyinaction.com/dia/organizationsCOM/MIDems/signUp.jsp?key=1268) and let them know. Please pass the word to your friends. Here's my message:

This delegate allocation is completely unacceptable. The election was a sham as not all of the candidates were on the ballot and we were all told it doesn't count. You need to either hold a new election, split the delegates 50/50 between the remaining candidates, or send no delegation and accept that the MDP disenfranchised the voters of Michigan and apologize.

-- Mike Nowak.

Because of a fight between the Michigan Democratic party and the national party, almost none of the candidates are on the ballot. Only Clinton, Kucinich and Dodd (who is not even in the race anymore).

If you support Barack Obama or John Edwards, consider voting uncommitted instead of sitting out the primary. It will show that we care and we don’t like having a choice.

For more info, check out the Vote Uncommitted group on Facebook.
